Sprucing Up Your Yard On A Budget (Video)

No matter how big or how small your yard, you want it to look great. You might think that this isn’t possible on a limited budget, but there are many things you can do that don’t require a great deal of money. Consider the following ways to spruce up your yard when you’re on a budget.

Solar Lights in the Trees

Once the sun goes down, much of the beauty of your yard is often lost. However, It does not have to be that way if you will add some lights here and there. The expense of getting electricity out to the nether reaches of your home might not be appealing, so consider the addition of solar lights. Hang them in the tree and take advantage of the sun that your yard gets all day long. And it won’t run up your electric bill to do it!

Use an Old Chair and Make a Swing

Instead of discarding that old chair that you have lying around the home, consider making it into a swing. This will be a great addition to your yard, and it will give you a good reason to sit outside and enjoy it more. Just add some paint and make sure it is secure, and you will be good to go.

Make Wise Use of Fertilizer

Organic farming is growing rapidly, with consumers increasingly eager to buy organic products. This makes many homeowners reluctant to use chemical fertilizers around the home. Some companies like Nature Safe are producing organic fertilizers to keep the yard looking fresh and green year round.

Use Diapers in Your Plant Pots to Reduce the need to Water

This is a great idea, especially if you have little ones running around the house. Diapers are great at retaining moisture, and this will help your plants stay fresh in their pots for much longer. Simply open them up and reuse the moisture retaining part. This will eliminate the costly expense of having to repot every so often, and you do not have to worry about anyone actually seeing the diapers. This is a great cost saver.

These are four simple, yet cost effective ways of sprucing your yard up on a budget. Not only that, these ideas will leave your yard looking great for much longer than even more expensive ideas would. Have fun with them and enjoy the new look.
